AB2098 also allows the medical board to obtain patient info without permission. It really takes us closer to surveillance of any medical practice. Richard Pan has an ax to grind with anti vaccine groups. They threw blood at him. He does not want to lose to them and I believe he’ll take down whomever it takes, including his fellow docs.
It's alarming. The CA Medical Board is separately seeking "enhanced medical record inspection authority" after an unsuccessful attempt to have it included in AB 2098, and I believe SB 920 as well.
